Getting Spiritual with your Preparing

1 Corinthians 16:13 ESV – Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

Even if you are a Christian, Jew, agnostic, atheist, Hindu, and a myriad of other faiths or non-faiths, there is more to preparing than just getting your gear ready and picking out a bug-out location.

Why We Should Prepare Spiritually too?

For many of us, it’s not an issue of bugging in or out or how many guns we collect. It’s an issue of being prepared, in mind and body, for the journey ahead, and living our lives in accordance with our particular practice of faith, first and foremost.

Our family sees big importance in our Spiritual Preparedness, more so than our physical. And it seeps into everything we do, say, and every fiber of our being. Being Spiritually ready, by a saving Grace from our Lord Jesus Christ, is our most important prep item.

And to help us out in the ‘field’, we keep a copy of a Bible in each of our bug-out bags and car emergency totes and on our e-readers. The same could be said of any faith – it would be important, if the situation arises, for you to have a copy of your sacred text with you – for comfort, for prayer, for help to someone else.

Getting Spiritual with Your Preparing is a Must!

Being able to go to scripture in a time of crisis, meditate on His Word, to offer the same comfort to another individual in need of it, is truly an important preparedness item for us. Think about it for yourself.
